ROOF RE-SURFACING

Our roof restoration coatings are specially designed and manufactured products. The system will work on most roof types (concrete, terra cotta and metal) and the following is a typical coating system for concrete tiles. Step One High pressure cleaning
Step Two The Roof Sealer This is designed as a layer between the tile and the Dulux Membrane system. It has special adhesions properties to ensure a better bonding and longer life.
Step Three962 Roof Membrane system This is applied as a two coat application creating a thick glossy protective membrane.

This system is designed specifically for roofs in Australian conditions. To ensure your complete satisfaction and peace of mind, we provide a 10 year guarantee on all coatings. And sometimes, especially with terra-cotta tiles, we recommend a special preparation cleaning with a a low toxicity bacterial fungal and algal wash call Prep Kleen. It is designed to stop the fungal and spore re- growth.

ROOF REPAIRS

Roof damage starts with dirt on the roof. Dirt is weight; it is a moisture trap and it hides from your sight the little regular repairs that should be done under normal maintenance. So while cleaning should be done regularly (but generally is not), over the long term simply home handyman cleaning is not enough. There comes a time when high pressure water sprays are really needed and there is also a time for you also need to do roof Re-Surfacing.

And sometimes in this process, there is the need to do roof repairs. This is unfortunate but the roof can be no stronger or better than the underlying work. Some of the work that must be done is

the roof is cleaned using high pressure
ridge capping is rebedded and then repointed
damaged tiles and faulty valley irons are replaced
if the old roof has cuts, tears, or other openings prior to the coating application, these must be patched before work

We a Guttermesh replace original tile roofs that are beyond the point of repair with new tile roofs in terracotta or concrete. With this sort of work, preparation is every thing. It the roof surface was not properly prepared there can be blisters afterwards and at this stage, there is not a lot that can be done short of materials removals and starting over. And this is why we use the Dulux AcraTex 962 Roof Membrane system . This is a special, high technology elastomeric membrane that, even if underlying minor cracks appear after we do our work, they will still be sealed; the elastomeric membrane has excellent crack-bridging performance.
